One of the questions surrounding COVID-19 is, "How can a caregiver care for themself during a pandemic?" Follow Safety Protocols If your instincts tell you to continue wearing a mask while caring for your loved one, despite the lifting of mask requirements, then do so. Don't be afraid to err to the conservative and ask visitors to wear masks and practice social distancing. Clean Regularly The CDC recommends routine cleanings of high contact areas like doorknobs and light switches with soap or detergent-based cleaner. Thorough disinfecting is not needed unless the Coronavirus has been introduced into the home per the CDC. Frequent Hand Washing Spend at least 20 seconds washing your hands with a bar or liquid soap and water. The soap doesn't need to be anti-bacterial. Dry your hands either by air or with a clean towel. Instead of soap and water, you can use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Know The Symptoms Of COVID COVID-19 symptoms inc
